Prescott Valley February 8-9, 2019

The ultimate ending to a long and grueling season. The bumps, bruises, tears, sweat and blood donated throughout the year all lead to this moment. Its the most enjoyable moment for some, and the most heartbreaking for others. Every win and loss throughout the year has put every competitor in a spot to taste glory or handle disappointment. What most don't realize is that this sport is the best and worst, it does what no high school sport does, puts two individuals in a circle to find out who is "better" in a physical and mental battle. One thing that makes this sport unique, the best guy is not always the one crowned with the title at the end of the weekend. That's it, all there is too it. Just as in life young men find out what it takes to battle through adversity, there is no easy road.

That being said, the group of 7 BC wrestlers that represented themselves did a great job. With everything that can be second guessed at this part of the year, every wrestler gave their full effort. For that there could be no fault or second guessing. At the end of the tournament Boulder Creek had 4 State Placers, two of the leaders and team captains the last two years ( Sheldon Cole and Jarett "Dirt" Christofferson), a dark horse considered by most ( Jaxon Rohde), and a young talent starting his journey to become a champion ( Jacob Moore). The future for the other 3 competitors looks bright, a young freshman ( Caidan Cole), a young veteran ( Noah Kasprowicz), and promising senior to be ( Michael Moreno) have the future looking good for Boulder Creek Wrestling.
